Escalante No 89

Escalante No 89

Here is one from the Utah backlog.
Last night, I was shooting at Anza Borrego, Fonts Point. The place was abuzz with photographers bidding their chances at a amazingly huge full moon.

Some time ago, I have decided to relegate B&W and fully devote myself to the refinement and achievement of luminous color.

But last night, while waiting for the full moon, I listened to several inspiring one-liners that advocate and celebrate B&W. My favorite of the night:

"When you shoot in B&W, you are looking at the subject. When you shoot in color, the subject is looking at you."

Clever and cute.
The retort, seems to hint at the perennial mortification that has plagued photographers and photography for ages: Intentionality

Intentionality on the part of the photographer to demonstrate some evidence of process, creativity or any other concept that can be attributed as artistic.

So...here I am looking at the inspiring shapes of entrada formations in the Escalante area.
