Another B&W showing the virtues of not confusing contrast with tonal range. In this case, tonal range drifting towards high-key. Third visit to this location to get the light glowing just right.
There is something so visually appealing about continuous gradient tones. And when paired with a jump of +/- 2EV the tonality really jumps and gets that "silvery" effect.
It was a real pleasure to hang in the depths of this canyon. After my sessions in southern Utah and northern Arizona, I really have found thematic interest in the aesthetics of these geological formations.
