Nostalgia....
I friend of mine, send me a shot of a place back in Austin Texas. The shot, made me remember my efforts to capture the beauty of the area when a lived there. This shot, Bull Creek No 64, is one of my most successful shots of the pockets of the banishing beauty around Austin.
In that area...I felt stifled, the natural beauty was scarce, and constantly diminishing due to urban sprawl. Here is a series that I put together for posterity.
The aspect that made me link these shots in my mind, was how hard I worked at framing them to leave out the creeping visual signs of urbanization.
