Southwest No 12

So here is a kind of shoot that I really love to do. Expansive, grand views stretching as far as the eye can see.

This kind of shot is the the "Anti-Feature" shot. The "No-Clear-Subject-Placed-In-The-Thirds" type of shot.

I think that to be truly appreciated, it needs to be printed big, but if....at this size, pulls some appeal...then I know that is a successful shot.

In this particular instance, contrast is the key.
The contrast of the colors - Blue vs. Yellow.
The contrast of the textures and patterns. - Soft and linear vs. hard and curvy.

The first image posted has incredible depth and really sucks your eyes in. I love the contrast from the blue skies to the brown on the ground.
