Delicate Arch under post sunset conditions. Just about 15 minutes before the light turns really blue.

I think that this time around, I spent more time exploring the surrounding areas of the arch, looking for different points of view at different times of the day.

Just like many, many of the exhaustively photographed features of the American landscape that I have covered during this year's tour, I questioned the need and purpose to make yet another journey to photograph it.

But when I considered it to take a pass on it....I just could not do it, and I am glad I did not. It was such a pleasure to wander around it, admire it, and hope for magic to happen, for a great image to manifest, for a unique point of view to reveal itself.

I can now see the day when I will drive along 191 passing Arches and think about the past, my efforts to become a better photographer, and thank Delicate Arch for its help.
